Salesforce XChange is an annual retail event hosted by Salesforce for its clients, partners, and employees, which brings together the Salesforce community for an exchange of information, technical innovation, and experiences that can be leveraged by all.
TechHuddle, being a long term partner of the Salesforce community, was invited to take part in the event in Copenhagen during 12-14 June 2017. Our CEO @richardsyeo (Twitter) attended both the keynote speeches and breakout sessions, while meeting with industry experts and leaders to exchange ideas and inspiration.
“Prepare to be blown away”, warned the headline announcing the keynote speakers at Salesforce website. And we really couldn't avoid being blown away since we had Salesforce CEO Jeffrey Barnett delivering the opening keynote speech “Be a TrailBlazer”, Rohit Goyal, Senoir VP of Product, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, sharing astounding results about the customers’ increase in mobile conversion using Apple Pay, and many more carefully selected speakers, all global Retail Trailblazers, leaders and innovators, who know the industry inside and out and who inspire with their knowledge and experience.
Some of the key topics presented during the event were related to Mobile First Site Genesis, Order Management enhancements as well as Content Management System.
Erik Holm, Senior Director, Product Management, Salesforce Commerce Cloud together with Arthur Werner, Director Global eCommerce Projects at Harman and Briony Garbett, Customer Director at Oasis, spoke about how world-class customer service, flexible delivery options and available inventory are some of the important methods to keep consumers loyal and turn them into lifetime customers. In their session “Service and Order Management Create Lifetime Customers” they shared from their personal experience how Customer Service strategies can help extending your investment in eCommerce and how to keep your customers.
During “Customizing Order Management in a Whole New Way” presented by Amanda Hatker, Senior Product Manager at Salesforce Commerce Cloud,a roadmap and live demo how to customize Order Management using the same development model and implementation approach as Commerce Cloud Digital was shown and discussed. Order Management allows brands to deliver a true omni-channel experience by enabling distributed order management, order processing, and inventory tracking across all channels.
Strategies on finding the right content balance for both customer and in-house resources were presented by Liberty Retail’s eCommerce Director Eric Ferguson along with Sophie Samon, Content Manager eCommerce Europe, PUMA. Content marketing stays in the core of building brand relationships, turning one-time shoppers into repeat buyers and when the customer is not happy due to little content this may cause difficulties to the purchase path.
